Not unpleasant but unusual. The container seems VERY small. But do not let that make you think that you should use a giant glob of it! Take a small amount maybe dime sized. It is a waxy firm substance at first. Rub between your hands to warm up. It turns into a oil, Apply to dry clean hair. Also keep in mind that it has a pretty strong odor of almost smokey incense of cocoa beans… A tiny bit goes a long way!
