Can a black tea rinse replace a light protein deep conditioner?! i was using ORS Replenishing every other week but now id like to use this in junction with my moisturizing dc
I am going through a frustrating shedding phase and remembered this video!! I was so glad to get answers. I tried the coffee and I took a garlic supplement by mouth, I got back to taking my multi vitamins and followed the instructions on how to do the coffee from this video and I am on day 2 and I am seeing a slight difference already…though I did detangle after conditioning and got a lot of shed hair out then.
@mzalaineyous People want to stop *excessive* shedding. That happens sometimes, e.g. post-partum, or other hormonal changes.Traycee tried this because her hair suddenly started shedding more than usual. And if you want to grow long hair, the less shedding, the longer time your strands have to grow, and the longer your hair gets. Why wouldn’t you want to decrease it.
@FruityMelody no, shedding is a normal process that the hair goes through. hair fall should have a white bulb attached to the end. the average fall is approx. 50-100 hairs a day. weak, dry, brittle hair breaks. hair that breaks along the strand can and does get split ends. healthy hair has moisture for pliability and protein for strength.
@relaximdointhis The main point of doing these tea rinses is to stop the hair from excessive shedding not necessarily for strength. What I do is put the cooled brewed tea (I don’t make as much as Tracee) into a empty spray bottle and spray the tea directly onto my scalp and then I co-wash and condition so I don’t have the stiff hair feeling. I hope this helps you some.
Hi – It’s interesting that it’s black tea instead of green tea, as green tea is the one that’s commonly used in many hair products. With that being said, have you ever tried a green tea rinse? I will definitely try the black tea, though. Thanks!
Hey Traycee! LOVE your videos & KISS (when I watch you, I feel like I’m talking to one of my girlfriends!!! My question is, can/would you refrigerate left over tea or would you make a new batch for each application? If so, how long do you suggest refrigeration? TIA!
